Connects Microsoft Teams to your PBX through Direct Routing by storing the Session Border Controller (SBC) connection details that the telephony platform uses to bridge calls.
Overview
The Microsoft Teams integration lets your Teams users place and receive calls through the PBX instead of through Microsoft Calling Plans. Direct Routing always runs through a Session Border Controller (SBC), so you need an SBC already in place before this integration is useful.
What it does
The integration holds the connection details for Direct Routing. It does not route calls itself. It captures two values:
- SBC host - the hostname or IP address of your Session Border Controller.
- SBC port - the SIP port on the SBC, defaulting to 5060.
Once active, the PBX includes these SBC details in the configuration it exports to the telephony platform. The actual bridging between Teams and your phone system happens on the SBC and the telephony platform, outside this admin app.
