> A **report layout** in Tempus is a **saved column, filter, and sort configuration** for the [employee reports](employee_reports.md) page, recalled in one click instead of reconfiguring each time.

## Overview

A layout can be private (visible only to its creator) or shared (visible to anyone with report access, editable only by the creator). This page lists saved layouts so you can rename them, toggle the shared flag, or delete them. To apply one, pick it from the layout-picker dropdown on the [employee reports](employee_reports.md) page.

## What it does

The layout's actual content (which columns, filters, and sort) is saved with the **Save layout** action on the report page, not from this admin form. To change content, open the report page, set the columns and filters, then save over the layout or save as new. This admin form only renames a layout and toggles its shared flag.

> [!WARNING]
> Deleting a shared layout removes it for everyone. If unsure whether colleagues use it, rename it with a DEPRECATED prefix first.
