> The **Famulor integration** is the API connection between your PBX and the Famulor AI voice platform, and what your [Famulor agents](famulor_agents.md) run on. It decides only which Famulor account is used; the agents are configured separately.

## Overview

This integration is the API connection between your PBX and Famulor. Once it is in place, you build [Famulor agents](famulor_agents.md) that run on it. The connection only chooses which Famulor account is used. The agents are configured separately.

## What it does

The **API key strategy** selects which account the connection uses:

- **Mixvoip** uses the shared key, so you do not enter anything.
- **Customer** uses your own key, which you paste from the Famulor dashboard. The Famulor API key field appears only when this strategy is selected.

Famulor is exclusive: a tenant can have only one Famulor integration at a time. The Famulor type is also available only to allowlisted PBXes, so you may not see it if your PBX has not been enabled for it.
